Unreleased DS Hardware


The new DSi LL has already been released in Japan, and will be released as the DSi XL in North America next year, but we almost had a different handheld entirely. Nintendo has released this picture of an extra-large DS Lite that was once in the works. This one boasted a 3.8 inch rather than the 4.2 inches that the DSi LL has. Nintendo decided to scrap this project and released the DSi instead, but it's neat to see what might have been.

    I don't get the point of the DSXL. The reason I love my DSlite so much is because I can put it in my pocket and play it anywhere. The DSXL doesn't look like it would fit in my pocket.
